Edmond is tall, slim and elegant. His every move is smooth, graceful and at the same time very precise. He is the one who never has shaky hands, as he is a great surgeon for a reason. At first glance he looks like a soft person. And in his long Choir robes and pale blond hair tied into a low ponytail he sometimes is mistaken for a woman. He doesn't bother if people refer to him as to woman. Even if he speaks about himself as about a man, he always says it doesn't matter much, as we all look almost same if to look on our insides.

Edmond wears a monocle on his green left eye. And the color of his right one depends on the prosthetic eye he decides to put into an empty socket. And he hides a huge scar on his chest - a mark left by an experiment he performed on himself.

Yet one who can see behind his beauty and calm voice would notice how cold Edmond's eyes are, how unemotionally he speaks and how he studies every person with some scientific, almost weird and scary interest.

Edmond was the only child in the family of a wealthy Yharnam citizen. His parents loved him endlessly, and he got away with many things. Edmond was a child who loved to see how his toys were made, not to play with them. So he broke them and put them up together. At some point, he got curious about how living creatures are made and how they look from inside.

When Edmond said he was willing to join Byrgenwerth College, his parents did their best to make his dream come true. In College, Edmond quickly recommended himself as a brilliant student. "Great mind and astonishing cruelty": that was what teachers and other students said about Edmond. He performed several experiments on himself and a few - on other students, though he was never punished as he was cunning and charismatic. 

At some point, Edmond started to think there is nothing else studies at Byrgenwerth could give him, so when the split of the College happened, he was quick to leave his alma mater and join Choir. There he found new knowledge about the Great Ones. And about Ebrietas. He saw this great being as a peak design, the greatest being one could ever create in this world. He literally worshipped the Daughter of Cosmos and got obsessed by the idea of one day becoming closer to the Great Ones in all aspects.
