A cool and detached cat at first glance, Coppertongue has little respect for authority and won't hesitate to disregard any order he disagrees with. Breaking the rules and getting in trouble with higher-ups about it usually earns nothing but an eyeroll from him, and he moves through life with a very purposeful and self-assured attitude, like he's completely confident in himself and needs no input to come out on top of any situation. If an opportunity to stroke their own ego or show off their skills and power presents itself, they may just take it. They enjoy being seen as impressive, and they strive to come across "cool" to all around them. Despite this, however, they are not constantly showing off or talking themself up, and are actually rather quiet and solitary most of the time, disinterested in socializing with most others. However, due to his usual self-confident attitude and his rather thorough disinterest in being polite or mincing his words, he can wind up getting into plenty of arguments with his Clanmates. He doesn't set out to start fights, but he has a short temper, quick to raise his voice and showcase his physical capabilities at any perceived insult. This plays into him being rather competitive but also notoriously a sore loser, even though he tries to play down this aspect of himself and remain cool and aloof even in defeat. They dislike losing mostly because they don't want to appear weak in front of anyone – in fact, they avidly avoid asking for help with anything from anyone, and push themself hard to be as independent and tough as possible. They have a compassionate heart beneath it all, sympathizing greatly with other lonely souls in the world, though they try to play that down as well. Sappiness and sentimentality are totally not cool, after all.
