Novarin Vi

Novarin Vi/Nova/Rouge - She/They - Originally from FFXIV - Aquarius

THAT'S MY GIRL!! Novarin started out kinda in FFXIV and kinda as one of my original universe characters. They started being made at the same time and ended up merging. 

FFXIV: In FFXIV she's an aura who grew up in a little village (on the steppe I think? or her parents were from there and immigrated somewhere with snow). She tutored under a black mage who worked as a potion maker in the village. No one knew she was a mage and she was well respected so her parents allowed her to be an apprentice. She was taught black magic in secret and was used as a vessel for her mentor. Because she was a warrior of light (unknown to her mentor), she built up too much power and, when it was let out, it had an explosive impact. The village was essentially leveled with everyone in it. Novarin moved out on her own then and travelled until she came across a cave.  She wanted to take shelter inside but Lalah and Bokun were there already and she had major trust issues at this point. She hid around in the woods nearby and watched them for a few days until they were able to coax her out and save her from the extreme winter weather. From then on, they were a family unit of orphans- fun! 

Eventually they moved on to the city due to Lalah wanting to explore the outside world and Novarin reluctantly followed. She loved their little life they'd made for themselves in their cave but she'd follow her family anywhere and do anything for them. This is effectively where the FFXIV story starts. She has an off and on romance with Estinien (TOXIC?!?!?) and eventually Bokun dies (because Lea sucks and that was his character) Lalah and Novarin are extremely sad and traumatized after everything that's happened and Nova is trying to keep them hanging by a thread at this point. They run a little tavern and strip club out of their house though so that's sweet. And she became a dancer so she wouldn't have to use black magic anymore SLAAAY. :D

OU: Crew: In my original universe, Novarin is part of a high profile crime crew and is their demolitions expert and 2nd in command. She used to be a deep cover agent for the government but eventually used her skill to get her and Clementine out of there by faking their deaths. They're the only 2 who know about this past (at the beginning...Vivian knows and fucks it all up). Nova, again, loves her family and is extremely loyal. She's the glue that keeps this crew together because otherwise they'd have all killed each other by now. She's often the one to go to for genuine good advice and tends to do damage control for Jin. She's very closed off and even hostile to outsiders though and seems cold when you first meet her.

In general, Novarin is a cold person who does not care for others. With the exception of her family, she is extremely selfish and wouldn't help someone unless someone she cared for wished her to. She's inherently not trusting of others and has a very blank way of emoting and speaking. In applicable universes, she is highly experienced with magic/potions/poisons and very academic. She would rather be learning, making potions or poisons, practicing fighting/magic, or some other solitary activity than go out and deal with people. Once you have her loyalty though, she will do quite literally anything for you. She's definitely more well adjusted in my original universe. Also she's goffick.
