Profile
Background: Grew up calling a cave in the Southern Spines his home, together with his parents and a younger sister. Alastor became fascinated with human magic during their trade visits to the tribes of the Shining Steppe and Scourgelands that resided on the edges of Nauruan territory. Left home in his "late teenage" years to travel across the human continent in search of knowledge and lost draconic history.
For years he did not stay in Vesuvia for long, treating it just as a "rest and restock" city until he managed to form a crush on the local magician. The dragon accumulated a fair amount of artifacts and funds by then, so he bought a shop with an apartment above it to give a home to himself and Asra. As the Plague took tighter hold of Vesuvia, Alastor put aside his usual studies and entered apprenticeship under Julian, so very sure that a human disease would not affect him, which would make him a valuable part of the research.
Well, the issue is, magical demon-sourced diseases very much affect dragons.
Due to the ancient laws of draconic community he could not disclose his nature to anyone. The essentially doomed relationship with Asra was covered in a thick layer of secrecy that weighted heavily on Alastor's soul, which resulted in the intense sense of guilt following him post-amnesia. The said amnesia erased the memory of his very nature as well, resulting in a very confused, lost magician who has no idea why is he so different from everyone around him. Being stuck in a shapeshifted body also lead to some severe self-image issues.
