Baron Noir

Henry Rocancourt is the only child of a rich company, reluctant to accept the business life. But behind the mask and the cape of the midnight moon, he is Baron Noir, the most famous phanthom thief in the city. His job brings him all around the city, stealing diamonds and paintings or money, leaving the scene of the crime with a cheeky note to the museum or casino owners, only to return the same stolen goods the next night. He is a very popular case among the police, who've been working tirelessly to uncover who this mysterious man is since Noir started his career.

Henry is a very soft-spoken and quiet person. He usually keeps to himself, doing mostly academic activities like reading, playing chess or learning on the piano. He is a very chivalrous and sophisticated person, treating everyone, even his enemies with respect. He very much doesn't like the fact he's going to be the heir to a rich company, where he'll be under more rules from his parents.

However, when he dons the identity of Baron Noir, he becomes more carefree than he is when he is Henry. Noir is a charismatic and intelligent individual, who loves to think outside the box and especially loves the thrill of the chase from the police. He feels more free to do what he wants when nobody knows his true identity. He is still very chivalrous and sophisticated as when he is Henry. He even treats the very police officers after him with a sort of warmth and friendliness! What a charming fellow!

"It's times like this when I begin to wonder. Who am I, really? The quiet and tired company heir who has to pretend they're fine with their fate? Or a carefree thief who doesn't care what happens to them? Is the masquerade mask my true identity? Or perhaps... Maybe I'm rambling."

Henry was born to a very rich and high class family, who were famous business workers. They brought Henry up to be like them one day, rich and blooming with money. However, Henry felt very trapped by these circumstances, and felt like a part of him was missing.

During high school, he was very popular among both girls and guys for his looks and wealthy life, despite being enrolled in a school full of wealthy people. He was the student council's vice president, a very skilled chess player, and a straight A's student. He was perfect in every way possible.

During these years, he met Graham Estrada, a classmate of his and an infamous, rebellious bad boy. The two became quite good friends, even developing crushes on eachother. But Henry's parents didn't want him socialising with a rebel. And so, that was where their relationship ended.

It wasn't until after he graduated high school did he ever consider a life of crime. He was inspired by the charismatic, popular and intelligent thieves from fiction he was invested in as a kid. He could easily portray himself onto someone like that. And so, he donned a white masquerade mask and started pursuing the life of Baron Noir, the famous phanthom thief.

As he started his first heists, he felt more free and in control of his life than he ever was as Henry. He was using his wits for something he was invested in, he could do whatever he wanted and there would be no stain on his real self's reputation. He felt like a bird, just now being able to exit their cage.

He started getting pursued by the police, even by his old high school acquaintance Graham, who was now a skilled detective yet didn't know of Noir's true identity. Noir loved the thrill of the chase. The rush of adrenaline that came when he heard the police sirens or saw the news about his latest crime. This life was perfect and content for him.

A few months into this business, he and his family arrived at a hotel for his parent's business meeting. However, he had other plans. Stealing a collection of rare crystals the hotel had under lock and key in a vault. Midnight hit, and Baron Noir was prepared to do his usual business. Until he came across someone else.

One of the porters who was previously flirting with Henry was stuffing the crystals into a bag. They were shocked and surprised at first that someone else was also at the vault with the intention of stealing too, but the waiter saw this as an opportunity when they realised that this was the infamous Baron Noir.

They introduced themself to him as Lucielle, and told him that they too were a notorious thief on the run. They revealed that they were a sorcerer running away from their family because of the constrictions and rules that were put on them. They promised that they would help Noir with his crimes and stealing, and also become a super popular crime duo.

Noir at first, declined. Saying he didn't do it for the money but for the thrill of the ride. But soon after Lucielle kept on begging him to let him be his partner in crime, Noir reluctantly gave in and they started doing heists together.

A few months into their heists together. One day, the group decided to go after a rare and valued painting owned by a very prestigious family while a masquerade ball was hosted there. Graham Estrada also came because he knew Baron Noir was going to attend. But Noir thought nothing of it. Just thinking that Graham was continuing their game of cat and mouse.

It wasn't until they were dancing together and Lucielle was still scouting out the house when Graham warned Noir that there was an assasin coming to kill him and Lucielle. They saw a mysterious figure approaching them, and before the figure could severely harm the two, Lucielle knocked them down from above.

The two had a fight, until the figure revealed themselves as Lucielle's younger sister, Anathema. She declared this wsn't going to be the last time she would come after them, and suddenly disappeared. With the news out that Lucielle and Noir were at the ball, they quickly escaped.

The two are now a famous duo of criminals. Sometimes working together, sometimes doing solo robberies. Nobody has found out Henry was actually Baron Noir, which was a good thing. Even with the police on their tail and Lucielle's sister trying to kill him, Noir still lives on with this life of crime.
