PERSONALITY
Dakota can most accurately be described as too many red flags in a trenchcoat. She’s not evil, per se, but her moral compass was broken a long time ago and she really doesn’t care enough to fix it. She loves playing the part of a ditzy, cheerful, weird girl, and while that’s not fully real, it does have some elements of truth to it. Truth to be told, Dakota is incredibly observant and a quick-thinker, which she tends to hide unless she deems it necessary to put her act on hold. She’s impulsive and overly-emotional, tending to jump to conclusions and react strongly either way. Behind her act, and the incredibly annoying things that come out of her mouth, is a girl who just wants to be loved and will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
POSITIVE TRAITS
+ CHARISMATIC: Dakota can read people like the back of her hand, and even though she’s sort of weird and off putting at times, it’s all calculated enough to the point where she can probably get her way through a lot if she actually attempts to be genuinely likeable.
+ QUICK THINKER: Due to Dakota’s impulsive and erratic nature, she’s wonderful at making things up on the spot and thinking of solutions to problems as quickly as she can. Sure, they’re not always the best, but they’re solutions! Her mouth works fast but somehow, her brain works even faster!
+ STYLISH: You can always count on Dakota’s incredibly well-tuned sense of aesthetics! She’s a master at knowing what goes best with what, which makes her incredibly attuned to patterns and anything she senses is innately wrong.
NEUTRAL TRAITS
= OBSERVANT: Dakota has a knack for taking in information and processing it for her advantage, ending up in her creating links and making conclusions that others might miss out on. Sure, she’s a little self-centred, but when it’s to look out for herself, Dakota can be surprisingly efficient in figuring a situation out.
= INTENSE: Everything is black or white in Dakota’s eyes. There’s no room for nuance. This can cause for her reactions and her outlook on things to lean way too much on one side of the spectrum, whether that be good or bad.
= PLAYFUL: Even in the worst of situations, Dakota can’t help but have a childish edge to her. She’ll almost always keep her tone lighthearted and airy, and usually behaves however she wants around people. It can be endearing or annoying, depending on how you see it!
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- IMPULSIVE: Thinking things through is definitely not Dakota’s strong suit. As soon as something comes on her mind, she’s already doing it, struggling to put any thought into whether it’s a good idea or not. Unless she has a mission in mind, her own desires drive her, which can cause her to act incredibly out of line and only notice after the fact.
- IMPATIENT: It plays into the whole theme, but Dakota’s a person who acts as if she’s running on limited time. Waiting is not her strong suit, and it can cause her to become whiny and do less-than-smart things to rush any process along. All in its due time has to be one of Dakota’s least favourite phrases.
- SELF ABSORBED: Dakota doesn’t think too highly of herself sometimes, but she can’t help but twist every situation she’s in back to her. Somehow, all her conclusions and links have to relate to her, because she must be an important player in whatever game life is playing, right? It can be hard for Dakota to remember that the world, indeed, does not revolve around her.
