Vergil prefers he/they pronouns, but will not actively speak up to tell others this nor correct them. He doesn’t care what other terms are used for him, though (such as guy, girl, sir, etc).

Due to the trauma inflicted by his abusive mother, Vergil is a meek, submissive people pleaser who is constantly overthinking in order to keep others from hurting them. Anxiety prevents them from speaking often; Vergil typically only talks to respond to other people using polite, but generic phrases. They are extremely codependent and usually cannot make decisions on their own. Unlike his sibling, Vergil is still firmly attached to their mother’s side and will do anything she asks of him. However, what he and Vesna both have in common is that they are completely alone and in considerable emotional pain. 

Vergil was created as a result of an experiment to form artificial gods who lived outside of the astral plane, and is considered part of a “failed batch”. He is hardly different from a non-constructed human, a fact that is used to hurt them.
