Ray is not typically what little kids think of when they think of animatronics. He's not very loud and typically a very calm individual.
It's not out of the ordinary to see Ray wandering around with a slightly embarrassed look on his face, he is shy after all. Despite that he does his best to help kids around the Pizzaplex.
He is the animatronic you call when your child is upset over something, big or small. Programmed to be a calming and comforting presence, Ray will help the children calm down. There is a side of him that comes out when a child is hurt or upset, and he can assess what kind of comfort the child needs within seconds of seeing them. He will do everything he can, short of medical attention.
Ray is actually quite funny when he wants to be, and knows how to crack a few quick-witted jokes. It's been told around the Pizzaplex that he enjoys sharing dad jokes with Freddy, who laughs at every single one of them. Of course, he knows more than your typical dad joke. The kind of joke he tells depends on who he's with, such as sharing light-hearted humor with Chica.

- Knows over 100 calming and/or comforting songs.
- Has a rather large, unrequited crush on Monty
- Knows his way around a computer (though not very well)
- Rather dense when it comes to things not realted to emotional aspects of someone else
