Ruby

Born into the small northern port city of Freyhold Ruby was the middle child of several siblings. While she would eventually grow and blossom into the strong and confident women she is it wasnt always this way. Born in a body that didnt fit her and with a community that didnt understand her want to be someone diffrent she grew up as a lonely and frustrated child. While her family loved her it was tainted with how they pushed her into a position she wasnt ment to be in, she didnt hate any of them but rather had a spiteful taste left in her mouth from how they rejected her when she tried to open up.

Ruby seemed, begrudgingly, destined to live a life not ment for her. As she grew older she found herself trapped more and more by responsibilities placed on her shoulders as the oldest 'son' still living in the home. Working on the docks was a sweet escape, interacting with travellers and feeling the sea breeze through her fur made her yearn to have her own adventures. To create her own path in life.

It seemed like some god was listening to her secret wishes as one day their small town was visited by a notorious ex royal turned pirate. There was whispers about the awful things he had done and what he might do to the town, but Ruby's ears were death to these whispers. She was enthralled and captivated by not only his confidence but the freedom he had. It was exactly what she wanted for herself.

Ruby would've never expected him offer her a position on his crew, but she wouldve never said no. She didnt even wait to tell her family, simply joining the tiefling as he was leaving. And so began her new life, her true life. As Ruby.

After years of working her way up not only the ranks of the crew but through the ranks of Prides friendship she became not only the Marigolds first mate but also Pride's best friend. She had also become the women she always wanted to be, embracing hormone therapy and everything she was denied in her home town.

Ruby had become a confident, chaotic and fun loving women who embraced all things debaucherous. From love to booze to gambiling she induldged in everything given to her, truely as free and careless as she always wanted to be. And while Ruby never thought she would be one for love she became romantically involved with the crews doctor (and once prisoner) Cardinal, though both of them are still open for outside physical relationships. Especially if they involve Pride's wife
