Profile
The Egg That Will Never Hatch Ever is an incomprehensible object that may or may not actually be alive. It appears to be an oversized egg with a teal-colored shell, hence its name. On one side of the Egg considered its "front" are three markings: two small green dots, and a large red half-circle. These markings give the appearance of a crude face and are capable of shifting into different formations through unknown means.
The Egg is sentient and self-aware, and communicates by emoting with its markings. The only movement it is capable of is wobbling slightly. The combination of its emoting and wobbling can convey a deeper and more complex meaning, but actually determing what it is saying is difficult. Somehow other animate objects can understand its meanings without any difficulty, and interpret for it to help others understand what it is trying to convey.
The Egg is completely indestructible, with the only theorized force capable of damaging or destroying it being the intense gravity of a black hole. It's impossible to determine if the Egg is actually incubating anything, as all attempts to X-ray its interior have failed. Whatever the Egg truly is appears to be unknowable.
Personality-wise the Egg is optimistic and easy-going, probably due to its indestructible nature. It's content to observe the daily goings-on without playing much of a part. The Egg has seen many, many things, and its depth of awareness when it comes to others is kind of scary. But don't worry, it's not creepy on purpose. It just is what it is.
"Captain Twethen" is an alternate persona adopted during its stint as a pirate that still surfaces from time to time. When presenting as Twethen, it wears an eyepatch over its left "eye" and a red tricorne hat with a P stitched into the front of the crown. As the captain of the Unbreakable Pirates, this persona is far more proactive and prideful than its normal self.
