Profile

Hatched in a tribe that travels the southern desert of Anauroch, Kontar is the only son and youngest of his clutch of siblings.

He has 11 older sisters (the oldest being older only by about a week). The females of his tribe, being larger and more muscular, were traditionally trained as warriors and hunters. As the only son of the matriarch he was expected to be trained in skills that most lizardfolk males of his tribe learned that would help him tend to the wounded warriors of tribe. In addition he would also be expected to be the carrier of the oral traditions and lore of the tribe as well as carrying out ceremonial tasks. Despite being trained from a young age for his expected role Kontar dreamed of being a warrior like his sisters.

During his druidic instruction from his elders he took much more quickly to taking on aspects of creatures and harnessing their abilities instead of the more medicinal practices he was intended to learn. In his late teens he set off from his tribe promising that he would return before his father's death to carry on the family traditions but that he would also return a great warrior capable of defeating the tribes greatest warrior.

Kontar set out on his journey hopeful that he could find compatriots to band with and learn from. His hopes were dashed rather suddenly though as the world's view on lizardfolk were less than favorable and he was often seen as a potential threat to "good". Over some years of traveling he became calloused to other races and modern civilizations especially; their racism fueling the xenophobia that his tribe had attempted to instill in him. Other lizardfolk from wider ranged tribes didn't look kindly on him either. In tribes where males were the larger and bulkier of the sexes, he was treated as sickly and something that should be disposed of.

Now, in his mid 20s, he still travels alone save for his fae spirit companion Haraka, honing his druid abilities. He places great importance in giving proper thanks to the creatures whose forms he takes. Defeating a creature, ceremonially consuming the flesh and burning the rest to ash, and thanking the spirit are all part of the process he undertakes to assume the shape of a creature.

The jewelry he wears is passed down through his tribe and is a symbol of the one in training to become the next lore keeper
