Virren Azuviir

Virren has run away from his home in the underdark, being unhappy with the stifling nature of drow society and expectations of him from his noble origins. He has a huge rebellious streak and longs for adventure, and has latched onto his patron diety (Eilistraee) for a sense of belonging and a path in life. He is low-key searching for fellow worshippers of Eilistraee, and wishes to become a more formal priest of the order, unconcerned that adventuring and priesthood don’t really go together.

He was close with his father (Rizhrae Azuviir), who worshipped Eilistraee in secret and mentored Virren. His father was found out and abducted to be punished by the matriarch of their family (Felyene Azuviir), Virren does not know what happened to him after this, and this event is what drove him to leave drow society. Virren’s mother is a powerful woman amongst the family, and didn’t spend much time with him, focusing much more on raising her daughters. Virren doesn’t resent her despite this, regarding their relationship as “normal” since that’s simply how he was raised.

He has three older sisters (G’eldia, Mircarzalle, and Urldriia), who doted on him, often treating him like a doll, dressing him up and thinking he was just the cutest little brother. Despite this they were not truly close, and they are loyal to Lolth and the family ways, dismissing their father’s abduction and believing he deserved punishment.

Despite his “good” alignment, his upbringing has resulted in him having a huge superiority complex over others, and helping others truly does not come naturally to him. His good deeds end up mostly a show for his super hot goddess.
