As old as the stars
Somnus used to guide teams of magical girls on their journey but no linger actively does so. Too many regrets. Some still seek them out (something about tradition) but they often turn them away, or try to. Nebula was the last person they really interacted with properly and while Nebula wasn't the first bad incident, Somnus wants to make sure she's the last. This does however mean that Somnus belives their inaction is better then any action.
Can and will manipulate dreams and that’s not necessarily a good thing,,
Somnus is, for the most part, benevolent, though there are times where she strays from that and cool space dreams turn into horrible nightmares (oops)
