Bio: Beth Hale lives in Novasti, a wizarding village along the coast of Spain. She is a half-blood witch that comes from a multi-cultural household (her half-blood father is German born with Cuban ancestry through his maternal side while her half-blood mother is Spanish born). Her father works as an Astronomer and her mother works for the Ministry of Magic’s Department of International Magical Cooperation. Neither parent attended Hogwarts; her father attended Durmstrang Institute while her mother attended an unknown school in Brazil. Beth and her two sisters, Lyn and Elle, visited many wizarding schools in preparation for starting their magical education. Both Beth and Lyn chose to attend Hogwarts while Elle saw Beauxbatons Academy as a better fit for herself.
Quidditch has always held an important place in the Hale household. The family frequently watch Quidditch matches together and even attended the 2014 Quidditch World Cup. During his time at Durmstrang Institute, Beth's father was a Keeper for the Durmstrang Quidditch team. He is an avid supporter of the German National Quidditch team. Beth’s mother is also an avid fan of the sport, though she holds preference for the Spanish National Quidditch team. Both of them, however, have found equal support and respect for the American National Quidditch team. Her parents gifted Beth and her sisters their own Firebolt Supremes as a back-to-school gift. Despite all this, the Hale girls were never taught to fly by their parents as they wanted their children to learn it at school.
The Sorting Hat had a difficult time placing Beth before it finally bellowed out Ravenclaw into the Great Hall. Upset that Lyn and her were not sorted into the same House, Beth often wonders if the Sorting Hat made the right choice in placing her in Ravenclaw. Although separated into different houses, she knows that both she and her sister will achieve great things in Ravenclaw and Gryffindor respectively. Since starting at Hogwarts, Beth has regarded Ravenclaw Tower as her favorite place in the castle. The courtyard is another one of her favorite places; she absolutely loves spending her breaks between classes there.
