Death Valley is an imposing figure who gives nothing away of her goals, thoughts, or feelings. She behaves in a calculated way, even her inaction has meaning behind it. Physically she is a powerhouse and mentally she is unshakeable once she has decided something. Despite her potential to make things happen she lacks the drive to do anything for herself. She is an incredibly apathetic individual and does not care about anything going on around her. She follows orders even if she disagrees with them, her complacency overpowering her displeasure. This doesn’t mean she just ignores things that bother her though, instead she makes mental notes and keeps score. Her frustrations run cold, she is not by any means an explosive individual, but she is spiteful. She doesn’t look down on those who have big plans or care about things generally but she herself just is not invested in any of the things around her aside from her friend Ceres, though it’s a bit complicated for DV. DV is someone who has the ability to intervene and simply chooses not to, only stepping in when she is told to do so by her “boss”, who she does not respect or care about but listens to regardless. She is listless but without motivation to change things and just takes everything as it comes for better and worse. She views herself as an observer and sees no point in impacting things herself, letting others make decisions for her though she is opinionated it never shows. 

Relationships:

Ceres- Her best friend. She guesses. Its not that she doesn’t like her, its that she feels like she doesn’t even exist to Ceres. Its sort of the emotion of when you aren’t your best friends best friend but even more complicated for DV because she is. Technically. The other best friend too. She tries not to think about it but its hard not to when shes being constantly called Callie and compared to her. Shes also lowkey frustrated with herself for not being the person Ceres genuinely wants. Another thing DV cant stand how oblivious Ceres is to her situation and her inability to notice when someone is using her. Seeing the best in everything is not doing her any favors but DV is just waiting for Ceres to realize that on her own and learn a lesson from all of this. Even with all the complicated frustrations in their relationship DV genuinely really cares about Ceres and likes spending time with her. DV wants her to see the world the way DV does and if she didn’t care about Ceres she would just leave her behind. They’ve been friends for the entirety of DV’s memory and she likes how excitable and fun loving she is. She wants Ceres to get over herself so they can both move on, together.

Sunny- DV does not like Sunny. She does not respect Sunny. She resents Sunny for what shes doing and the way shes doing it but not enough to stop her or even be resistant of her orders. DV saw through Sunny’s façade years ago and has not forgotten but doesn’t do anything about it and has not tried to tell Ceres her thoughts. DV knows sunny finds her repulsive and feels the same but if Sunny wants DV to do something shell do it. Theres no reason not to and shes got nothing else to do.

Mary- The component she feels the least amount of resentment towards, but still feels little in general about her. Shes gotten most of Mary’s memories and emotions from being in her home and being reminded of things but DV has her own opinions of them, though its useful to have the latent information so she doesn’t mind as much. She knows that Sunny never warned Mary of the risks and DV sees Sunny differently ever since she gained that knowledge.

Castilla- The component she feels the most resentment towards. DV actively dislikes Castilla and wants nothing to do with her. She wants none of her memories and none of her feelings and grows frustrated whenever some come through. She doesn’t understand why Ceres wants someone who never liked her to begin with or why Castilla never liked Ceres because DV certainly does. DV feels like she cant live up to the idea of what she should be because of Castilla and hates her for this. Part of her is genuinely afraid that if she did get all of Castillas memories and feelings and she was still herself that Ceres would stop caring about her after realizing she can never be Castilla completely. She thinks that’s a stupid fear which makes her more annoyed with the both of them. She just tries to ignore it.
