Kelly is a young adult octoling, who originally served in the Octarian Army, but then managed to escape to the surface with the help of new friends she made along the way. She now lives in a small apartment she shares with her girlfriend, Samantha, and studies at Inkopolis Academy and plays turf war with her friends. She also works at multiple jobs, in Ammo Knights, as a baker, and as Agent 8 for the New Squidbeak Splatoon. She suffers from vitiligo, which is a disease that affects the pigment of the skin.
For her personality, you must know that she is anything except shy. Kelly is confident, optimistic, usually sassy and at times curious. One of her strongest traits is her high tenacity, she never gives up on anything, and will do what she can to achieve her goals, even if she fails it will not stop her, although this can also go against her if she gets desperate, making her be too focused and lose attention to other things. In many moments she can become the voice of motivation, encouraging others to keep moving forward or telling them to be proud of what they can do.

Abilities
- She is able to use almost any kind of weapon easily and has vast knowledge of them (thanks to all the tests in the metro). Her favorite weapons are Range Blaster, Flingza Roller and Octo Shot.
- Thanks to Marina, she learned about programming and hacking.
- She has experience in melee combat, thanks to her time training with Sam (but not as skilled as her).
- At times she may have really fast instincts, predicting incoming attacks.
Extra Facts
- Her headphones were gifted by Marina, and since Kelly really appreciated this gift, she wears them almost all the time, every single day.
- She usually carries a parasol when going to the beach or during days when the sun is intense outside. This is to protect her skin which is more sensitive to sunburn (due to her disease).
- One of the first things she learned some time after reaching the surface was baking, which she then took as a hobby and as a part-time job. Usually baking treats like donuts, cupcakes, buns, and also making drinks like milkshakes and coffee.
- She is lesbian to the max, she realized it due to all the girls she saw in the Octarian army.
- During her first days on the surface she used to work at Grizzco Industries, but eventually quit after sympathizing with the salmonids.
- If she sees a telephone resembling tartar, she’ll have the urge to destroy it.
- She doesn’t get scared of fighting sanitized subjects, but one of her deepest fears is to become sanitized herself. On a few occasions she gets nightmares about it.
Relationships
Samantha [ love interest ]
The love of her life. While they were enemies at first, overtime they became closer friends, and eventually lovers. Kelly admires Sam a lot and does not hesitate to give her a hug or kiss, or even tease her. They both live together in a small apartment and help each other in almost any situation (either in missions, or emotionally). But they seem to still have a bit of rivalry spirit, so at times both of them have sparring sessions to see who is stronger.
Clara [ close friend ]
After meeting each other in Octo Canyon, Clara was fascinated at meeting Kelly, and hearing about her long adventure back at the underground, so she made it her mission to teach Kelly about the surface so she could settle down and understand the culture. Overtime she grew to really appreciate Clara’s help and outgoing nature, and it made her look forward to meeting new people from now on. They keep hanging out constantly, especially after Kelly enlists Clara’s help into wanting to know more about salmonids.
Olivia [ childhood friend ]
They’ve both known each other since they started working in the Octarian army. Seeing how she was also bullied hard, she felt sympathy, and helped her through hard times. They sadly separated after the Calamari Inkantation, but would eventually reunite on the surface, where Kelly also returns Olivia her lost golden toothpick. They keep seeing each other to this day, with Kelly feeling proud of how far her friend has come.
Pearl and Marina [ parent figures ]
Kelly holds a lot of respect and appreciation towards them after helping her escape the Deepsea Metro (even to the point of seeing both as mother figures). Marina teached her Inkling language and also about programming, and Pearl helped her to be confident and proud of who she is.
She met Bluette in the Deepsea Metro, who was lost trying to find her brother, Bluey. She made it her mission to help the small octoling find her brother and reach the surface. They faced a lot of challenges along the way, which strength their relation. After all those events, they have become very close friends, having a few more adventures along the way.
Honi (rizlrhyth64) and Elizabeth (DynamoLover15) [ close friends ]
Two of her closest friends, and as well they have formed their own small trio which hangs out. With Honi, she likes to hear her nerd talk, and they both love to bake treats together. With Elizabeth she admires her skills and how she has managed to keep moving forward despite being blind, and even giggles at her goofy moments.
