In the criminal underworld, Xiang Li is regarded as something of an enigmatic boogeyman. Residing in his own pocket of shadow, he flits in and out of perception at a whim, signifying each appearance with devastating violence. Although his marks may seem random, it has long been suspected that he works for someone quite powerful.

Xiang himself is somewhat of an unhinged character. Few have interacted with him and lived, but those who have recall him being dangerously persistent, provacatively charismatic, and deeply unsettling. He does not stop until his task is done, and he does it with a smile on his face. Most survivors insist they only lived because he wanted them to—and none dare to ask why.
