Adhikāra

Adhikāra is Barapha's father; he's a strict, battle hardened warrior, the right paw of the king in his generation, supporting him trough thick and thin. He's a very harsh father, always expecting nothing less than perfect from his children right from the start, training Barapha to be the perfect soldier.
When the king fails to get a single male heir despite many attempts, he offers Adhikāra to make his son the heir instead by betrothing him to his eldest daughter; this marks the first point in Barapha's life where his father was genuinly proud of him, however it also meant incresed training, both from him and the king.

Adhikāra is a a big influence on his son's parenting style, altough Barapha isn't nearly as strict as his father; he ends up as a very gruff grandpa.
He's not around for much of Tuṣāra's life, but he's around long enough to see Nīrasa completely take over as the reigning monarch, he doesn't like her going against tradition in such a way, but he knows better than to put himself against her.
