Emre

I. During Humanity

Emre was created as a Medical Attendant for a young girl who struggled with various physical illnesses. Being unable to accomplish many tasks, Emre became an aid for her daily needs as well as emotional support. From playing imaginative games to helping educate her, Emre's tasks made his both being a friend and a guardian over the girl. As she got older her condition improved and eventually she no longer needed Emre's assistance. He stayed in contact with the young girl for the rest of her lifespan; but no longer being needed, Emre was sent to a hospital to work with other struggling children. He helped attend to their needs for several years until the hospital replaced his duties with other Medical Karu. Despite having the ability to learn more medical knowledge, Emre was sent to a daycare center to care for young children under eleven.
Here he excelled in educating and entertaining the young ones who he grew very fond of. Often times it was hard to see the children grow up and leave the daycare center, causing Emre to be rather out of service for a few days. But overall the daycare became popular for Emre's child-rearing skills. He remained working at the daycare for the rest of the time humanity had.

II. After Humanity

Upon the demise of humanity, Emre shut down for a few years unable to cope with the loss of the beings he was meant to protect, only to later be reactivated by other Karu's who were in the process of building a safe place from the destructive storms. Recovery was slow but Emre managed to learn a new trade in engineering taking on the role for himself as an aid to protecting other Karu in place of humans. However, he still fondly remembers the humans in his past. He found a way to cope with the great loss in his own way; involving a rather odd and extensive collection... though he keeps this hidden away and to himself.
Emre works as a Maintenance Engineer keeping barriers functional, a rather lonely job for a charismatic Karu. But he's honored to do his part! And has nothing to do with the self-guilting over failing to protect those precious innocent children. All sunshine and puppies here!
