It's always nice to see a nicely-portrayed hispanic character, as someone who's from a spanish-speaking country! He seems like a very cool, kind dad, and definitely someone reliable to go to, which is good for this kind of story.
I think it's interesting he basically was just winging his life at significant points, and it's kind of funny to see that it genuinely worked out for him. I also think it's very sweet that he takes the time to keep in contact with Azazel and support him when he needs it!
For his design, I quite enjoy his color pallete, and how his skin goes with his hair, plus dyed hair with natural roots is something I find very fun in character designs. This man is funky, I hope he's having a good life
