- his sisters' romance novels
- One of my oldest characters, he was part of this story's original design batch in 2007.
- Prefers wearing sombre colors and clothes with plenty of pockets.
- He was originally designed as a foil for Rosemary.
- In the original drafts, he was some estranged nobleman sold off to an assassin's guild.
- For a self-appointed bodyguard, he doesn't consider himself much of a combatant.
- Due to different naming conventions, in Flormaris he just goes by Thyme Rasinius or Thyme Rasinius du Palentinia.
- His tattoos are supposed to represent good fortune and plenty (it's called irony).
- Due to me being dumb when drawing angles, he is now officially left handed.
- Expressions tend to be very symmetrical.
A young agent working for the Sentire Council, he often takes odd jobs and the detective version of beatwork for nobles. Very dilligent and prideful in his work, most of that energy comes from the fact he gets paid by comission more than a love for the job (though he acknoweldges he is legitmately good at it). Only recently getting more serious gigs, he finds himself offered an odd case tracking down a runway noblewoman. When he finally catches up to her, however, she's adamant she won't return home until whatever insane personal quest she's cooked up is complete--so adamant, in fact, she's willing to open up her family's coffers and outbid whatever he was originally supposed to get. Figuring if she dies or befalls some similar misfortune he won't see a single coin, he takes up the position as a personal guardian.
This, of course, goes against all Council regulation. If they were to find out... well, it's better if they simply don't. He's not particularly keen on going back to Palentina anytime soon, and someone needs to fund his younger sister's education somehow, given the rest of the family's shaky financial state.
Besides, he is getting curious as to exactly what this strange Flormari noblewoman is trying to accomplish...
Personality-wise, he's noted for a straight-man attitude, trying to keep his reactions in-check. That sort of self-control and stoicism is definately an asset considering his job, even if it does make him seem like a Palen stereotype.
Originally hired by her family to track her down, when he finally does catch up to her she outbids their price and gains him on as an impromtu bodyguard. He can just pass not bringing her in right away off as her being hard to track down--all while getting some extra money for his efforts, right? Her energy keeps him on his toes, if nothing else.
His younger sister, she's currently a student at a prestigous school for magics in Asterra. However, this type of schooling doesn't come cheap, and a lot of his money goes straight to her education more than anything else. The two are very doting with each other, sending letters regularly, though they were a lot more belligerent as children.
