Ai is a collector of wishes and a dream-giver. She resides in celestial clouds and travels through worlds to collect said wishes. Wishes are said to resemble konpeito candy and it's customary to leave small portions of konpeito at ones window as offerings. If enough wishes are collected, she has the ability to grant one wish to someone deserving of it. Ai also rewards those who make kind wishes with beautiful dreams.
Ai is very popular among children and stories of her are often told before sleeping.
