Callum is an enchanted star drop attending Agatha Academy in the Agatha Afters college program. They are looking to pursue a degree researching energy conservation magic. They're especially interested in and fascinated by their non-enchanted counterparts: star drops. Star drops are what inspired their academic pursuits in magical energy conservation. They've always felt a strong affectionate pull towards the little guys and are often seen observing or pursuing them- both in captivity and in the wild. This fixation has earned them the mahou title: Starwatcher.
Some who know Callum would say their curiosity is endless. So endless and strong, in fact, that they'll often do dangerous or foolish things in pursuit of just a little piece of new knowledge. From a dumb bet to trespassing, they're fully aware of the possible consequences of their actions but to them another piece of the puzzle far outweighs the risk they might face. Besides, they trust in their ability to get out of a sticky situation- let's just hope they don't get in over their head!

BACKGROUND
BACKSTORY
Callum was enchanted many years ago. They were small and quiet, adopted by a nice couple in Mahou. At the beginning, the parents didn't think Callum could talk. Though they spent time trying to teach the tyke to verbally communicate, little Cal opted to wave or point or lead an adult to what they needed- that is until they saw an unenchanted star drop. The adoration that flooded Callum was unparalleled and they gasped, holding the picture book up to their family, shining bright and pointing to the picture with a fervent plea to see one in person.
The story unfolds much like you'd expect- a child found a new obsession and never quite left it behind. They grew, attending Agatha Academy, and learned more about star drops- and more about themself as a result. They grew a love for the pursuit of knowledge. But there were so many questions they wanted answered- and no amount of reading gave them everything they sought! They decided that if anyone were to do it, it would be them to take matters into their own hands and seek the puzzle pieces.
Their pursuit at Agatha Afters reflects their pursuit of knowledge and childhood love mixed into one! They study energy conservation, both natural and deliberate. How do different creachers store the magic that powers their functions? How does it vary? What do they do when they run low? How can understanding these things translate to better, more efficient magical conservation and storage in Mahous? These are some of the questions they seek to answer, and they particularly love asking the questions to their little star drop companions.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Callum's most notable ability, Temperature Control, comes from their nature as a star drop. Star drops are naturally warm to the touch and have a wax-like consistency. By heating themself up with this ability, Callum can let parts of their body go- at the expense of their body mass if they have to leave it behind. This is particularly helpful if they're stuck and in a hurry or need to make themself small. It takes a bit for them to naturally regenerate their body afterwards.
RELATIONSHIPS
Callum's best friend and roommate! The two met in their first year at Agatha Academy and became friends when Melony refused to leave them alone. After Callum's initial resistance to socialization over reading, they became fast friends!
