Grendel

A Frog-Monster cook hailing from the bogs of Murdlot, Grendel has since moved out of his home town to spread his oozing goods all over the world. He is a travelling cook, rarely staying in a home for more than a few nights, usually in exchange for cooking for the home-owner. Some find his monstrous foods appalling, with the eyes and the sludge-thick sauces, but Grendel readily urges his customers to just try a bite, even if the meal looks disgusting.

Personality: Grendel is a rather shy creature at first glance, rarely talking without anybody coming up to him. His monster heritage has made others quick to judge him as a mindless beast, and his eyeless blank face does not make a welcoming sight. Still, if approached, Grendel is not afraid to slowly ease himself into conversations, and when he is selling, he will offer any passerby, though it takes a fair sum of courage, as rather apparent by his sweaty visage in such circumstances. He is quite kind, and would rather be afraid than angry, so even when people reject him and his goods, he is almost apologetic in nature, wishing them a good day and scurrying off.

When he is offered a home in exchange for his goods, he humbly and readily accepts. He is highly organised, and if invited in, is quickly to set himself up inside, and equally as quick to leave, without a hint he was there. He rather announces his departure, leaving many a homeowner confused. Some want to chase after him, but by the time they notice he is gone, he is often far, far away.
