Hisoka Matsui

Not much is publicly known about the finest tea maker in Japan. According to Hiretsuna, his life was rather plain and boring, so he doesn’t go into much detail about it. What he is willing to share, however, is that he hails from a family that owns a small and humble tea shop known as The Black Viper. The owner of this tea shop has been passed down through generations in the Chinmoku family and Hiretsuna is next in line to run it. He aims to be an excellent tea maker, even better than his father before him. Seeing as how he has the title of the finest tea maker, Hiretsuna’s efforts have proved to be successful. You would imagine that because of how delectable his tea is, more people would be flocking to the humble tea shop, but this is not the case. Surprisingly, not many people have heard of The Black Viper tea shop, but Hiretsuna prefers it this way. As mentioned, it is only a small local shop. Perhaps one day, when he has full rights to the shop, Hiretsuna will make an effort to make it more widely known. For now, he is content with peacefully continuing his practices until he’s ready to take over the shop for good.

Fabricated nonsense. Let's take a look at who this man really is, shall we?

Unseen by the public eye, but well known underground, hiring this hitman will guarantee your target's death. Hisoka's prices are high, but not without good reason. Although his physical capabilities are highly remarkable, stealth is what he excels most in. Though he is a stealthy, professional killer, Hisoka will not kill freely. He will only kill if hired and paid up first by his clientc. Hisoka is very strict with this principle- in dedication and respect to the those who died for him to rise to the top.

Hisoka knows, or at least, assumes that a talent such as “hitman” may be worrying or alarming to others. Taking inspiration from the tea shop his organization, the Black Viper, hides under, Hisoka goes around claiming to be the Ultimate Tea Maker instead. In order to maintain this illusion, Hisoka does, of course, have a rather vast knowledge on teas, their uses, and how to make them, thanks to The Black Viper tea shop, located not too far from the house that The Black Viper organization resides in. While his knowledge and skills regarding making tea may not be on the same level as an Ultimate, it’s just enough to make others believe otherwise. Hisoka’s entire public backstory is fabricated. His fake name, Hiretsuna Chinmoku, is used as an extra means of protecting his true identity. Though Hisoka Matsui is a name unknown to the public, it’s still a well-known name underground, and well… You never know what type of people you may encounter. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Hisoka will never approach anyone on his own, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t willing to converse with anyone that approaches him. Though he doesn’t mind conversing with anyone that wants to talk with him, Hisoka will refrain from talking about himself or revealing personal information early on in any encounter. He is much more accustomed to listening rather than talking and will prefer his company lead the conversation rather than vise versa. On the contrary, Hisoka has no problem talking about you, and will have no difficulty asking you questions to keep you going.

Though reserved, Hisoka is extremely polite, acting like quite the gentlemen. He is never rude, at least not intentionally. He seems to hold at least an ounce of respect for everyone, nuisance or otherwise, and will never outright use foul language. Hisoka is also not one to get riled up so easily. Even when he is angry, often times he is still able to hold his composure. Incredibly calm, there’s not many things that worry or bother him. He can dismissively brush off most things that he dislikes.

A deceitful man, Hisoka might be a little too good at enhancing the truth. He may choose to delicately sugar coat things to avoid any unnecessary encounters, though it ultimately depends on how much effort he's willing to put forth to avoid any collisions. If he's made any promises to hold his tongue, he usually will hold true to it at all costs. Unless, of course, someone makes him a better deal. His loyalty can be rented, but never owned.
