Adriano is a very free-spirited guy. He's optimistic and freeflowing and a good guy to have around. To be honest, he tends to act like an older brother to everybody, and he's definitely got a significant protective instinct. However, he's a bit stupid with a very... lowbrow sense of humor, and he can't take things seriously. This probably doesn't make him very welcome in Aleki's official meetings, but he thinks he's hilarious, so.

Spirituality isn't a huge focus in his life, but he thinks that there are forces beyond what you can see in the world guiding you, and makes decisions accordingly. This makes for a lot of Bad Choices but somehow he gets through them all okay. He thinks the ocean and he have a special connection, and it's definitely true that the way he surfs is intuitively connected to the water.

History

Adriano was born on the mainland, but moved to the islands after he couldn't be satisfied by the weak beaches in his hometown. His family was just as loosey-goosey and artistic as he is, and he phones home every month or so to check in and see what his many little siblings are up to. School was never his strong suit, so he stopped after high school and now makes surfboards for a living. It's slow going but he's happy.

One day, while surfing on the island he moved to, he totally wiped out and hit his head on his board. Somehow, both he and his board made their way to another tiny Pacific island, where he woke up bewildered on the shore. It was Aleki's island, and he wandered his way through to the leader to get approval for him to live there. If the waves took him there, then it was meant to be, you know? He's never left since and spends a lot of his time hanging out with Aleki.
