Sorry for the long delay. I finally got around to posting this one like I meant to do months ago. The idea I had is that he lives in a mana stone cave on Zodea (not necessarily the one near where my group are at) and that he could be a source of mana stones for people to then have some fun and experiment with, sell for profit, or give away for other quests they end up with from journeys.
Awesome! Whenever you'll be ready to let people enter Zodea as a location, we can add Mikey there. Obviously no hurry, you can first wait to see how locations end up being like in Journeys, though since that's gonna take time still, you can at least plot in your head what kind of places and characters/quests you want to include there. And if you have some specific ideas about the use of mana stones in the context of TFR also lemme know:3
Alrighty :) at the moment Mikey and one other are ready for the Zodea part of journeys. And sounds good. Sorta got some ideas for certain things but at the moment most of the major shops are still kinda not wanting to cooperate with my brain xD
So with the mana stones, figured they could have a lot of different uses. In the mansion, they get used a lot for generating power for the light fixtures and for stuff like that flashlight that Janus and Ninurta gave to the merchant back with the meeting after the golden shard event. They could also be used for fun reactions with magic and/or chemicals with characters who like to experiment. Honestly anything that could work with solidified magic could work with the stones, but some stones having more power or efficiency than others.
I know the feeling, I'm sure by the time we get there, ideas will come, I am best at last moment ideas XD
That sounds cool about the mana stones. We can make them originate from Zodea so that they are a limited and fun resource in the realms. And I think you mentioned they can be mined there?
Alrighty :) and yeah they can be mined. In fact the cave that Mikey is in is one of the mines where they can be found. I just didn't say there were mana stones there since I'd assume the visitor wouldn't necessarily know of it at first glance. So some of the crystals are mana stones, some just being other types of crystals entirely. The one Mikey gives is kind of a more potent one than the ones person on the journey would encounter from their first trip. Also there are two mines in particular I have labeled on the map of Zodea (there can be more but I hadn't decided yet. Draumrverg hasn't been mapped out). There is the one near the archivist mansion, and then Mikey is located in the one further south towards Jo'Na'Ar and is called the Ho'Or'kar Mine.
