Her host is indigenous, and her indigenous name is "Pekoyoh". Despite the host (and subsequently the mytmi) personally being disconnected from her history, she does know that she is descended from the Yurok tribe. She prefers this name be reserved to other indigenous folk and those close to her, as it feels intimate, and something that she doesn't want tarnished by her online audience.
Carmine struggles from anorexia and HPD, something the mytmi increased the severity of when it possessed her.Â
