Personality.
Yoshiro is known to be sly and playful. He likes to put up this act as if he's your friend. He really knows how to spot what people want, and how to work around that.
It's easy to tell that he's very morally bankrupt. He's willing to do whatever his empress would tell him. He has a very short temper. The only thing he ever feels is bitter resentment and anger, which he hides behind a snarky smirk.
When he's not busy doing work, he wastes his time fulfilling his hedonistic wants.
He convinces himself that he's a selfless person that would do anything for the people he loves, but in reality, he's not afraid to hurt them in order to never lose them.
Trivia.
- He has two very prominent scars on his face, which he got during the flood.
- He has a very high alcohol tolerance, which he can blame on his blatant day drinking.
- He's proficient in many weapons in combat. He also gets overexcited when it comes to battling, especially if he doesn't need to hold back.
- He has trouble letting go of things, so he has a small hoarding problem.

Yoshiro is one of the zodiacs of Oimiizu. He was born blessed by the land with abilities, reslience and immortality. In return, he is tasked to protect the people of his country.
He's worked very hard to be where he is now. He's a war general for his country. He risks his life everyday, going out and exterminating the demons and yokai that threaten mortals. He also trains up the other members of the militia in order to do the same as him.
Yoshiro is one of the only zodiacs left after the flood. A tragedy they describe as 'the day the sky turned red' or simply 'the flood'.
On the day of the flood, a large group of demons came after the heart of their land, the Jeweler's tree. If the demons found a way to corrupt the tree, it would start producing powerful demons called yokai.
He was on field, doing his best to get rid of the demons. But he only witnessed the multiple deaths of his comrades. He expected to meet the same fate as them when the land began to sink, but he'd find himself to be saved by the other people that were able to get off the land in time.
Only a small percentage of the population was left. They would remain as refugees in a neighboring country. After 100 years have passed, he had a helping hand in getting a new land for his empress and the people of Oimiizu.
Otohime

Yoshiro trusts Otohime's word over anything. They've known eachother for around 4000 years. He's seen her go through many phases of her life. Unfortunately, he's been feeling like she has been getting worse in terms of how she is emotionally. She's been growing more and more distant. He wishes she can talk to him like she used to. He misses how they were, before she became empress.
Ryu
husband
He will sacrifice so many things for him. They met during the darkest time of Yoshiro's life, when he lost his country. Seeing how Ryu is, as well as hearing of what happened to him, he couldn't help but feel like they are the same. He also admired his strength. Because of this, he decided to help Ryu out with some of his problems. In return, Ryu helped Yoshiro get their land back. Yoshiro is very close to Ryu, and he is quite possesive of him.
Fujita

Fujita is Yoshiro's very first son. He wants him to follow in his footsteps. He's also extremely happy that Fujita started off that way. Fujita was ambitious and hard-working. He had a passion for fighting for the land. Howwever, after going through countless near death encounters with demons, Fujita has changed his mind about spending his life fighting demons. Yoshiro fought against this, which only damaged his relationship with his son. Fujita would go off on his own path to live a more normal life for sometime, before more tragedy forced him to face the facts that he never could live a normal life, not as a zodiac. In the end, Yoshiro was more than happy to greet his son back, after he turned out to be right afterall.
Yunji
son
Yunji is his second son. He treasures this boy. He thought against making him follow his footsteps as a soldier, as he could tell that Yunji had no potential in that field. As he grew up, Yoshiro supported Yunji's decision to be a political figure in Oimiizu. Yoshiro's extremely protective of Yunji, because he's faced a lot of danger he couldn't handle throughout the years. Though he's happy that Yunji seems to be successful in the path he's chosen, Yoshiro can't help but feel that he would have been better if he had the capability to protect the land as a zodiac.
Yui
closest friend
Yui is the only other zodiac that survived the flood, as far as Yoshiro knows. They don't talk about the flood, and they avoid talking about how life was before. She's always had his back in everything. Yoshiro finds a lot of comfort when being around her. When they have the time, Yoshiro goes out to get shitfaced with her.
