Changeling

He can shapeshift, that's pretty much it. Though he doesn't like to use it is the thing. Robin doesn't go out of his way to activley use his shapeshifting ability unless it's to avoid detention and consequences. Other times it's to try and ruin someone else by transforming into them. On top of this, he's very secretive of his true form. Due to the fact he's disguised all the time and is registered as a Fire Genasi, Robin will avoid doctors and nurses so his secret is not found out. Also he's a fey creature.

Paladin

Currently he's an oath of Devotion paladin, only to follow in the same path as his father. Really he's not entirely into the whole paladin class but doesn't know what else he can do. Mainly just uses the smites in combat though, holy magic go boom.

Saltmarsh Citizen

Robin originates from the town of Saltmarsh. He knows the town fairly well and also knows a couple of local drink recipes. Because he comes from an oceanside town, he knows how to swim. Robin also a major marine biology nerd, it's not something he wants to do as a job but he does like learning about the local marine life.

About

First things first, Robin is an incredibly introverted individual. He doesn't go out of his way to approach others, but rather waits for others to approach him. If there's someone he's familiar with he'll stick around them out of comfort, though if that said individual he's familiar with annoys him or he's just uncomfortable around them he'll find ways to outright avoid them. Though, it still might be a bit intimidating to approach him if you're just going off apperances. Robin doesn't make an effort to appear approachable either, he's blunt at his best and rude at his worst. He forms attatchements rather quickly where he'll grow fondness for someone from just a couple positive interactions. This is especially noticable when he's trying his best to look out for someone like an overprotective older sibling.

The main thing Robin fears is being rejected, not so much romantically but being rejected for him being him. The resting bitchface facade is just that, a facade. Him not attempting to be approachable is his way of filtering out those who would reject him in the first place. Though he still doesn't reveal everything to his closest confidants, the main thing being that he's actually a changeling. While Robin has tried to improve from his days as a little punk, he still has tendencies to act out. Weather it's starting fights, intimidating other students, or, out drinking late, he acts out in order to cope with not being able to deal with his own feelings.

While he may have a bouqet of issues, he's pretty warmhearted at his core. While Robin may try to disguise his caring acts as something he has to do, he really does do it out of genuine care and affection. He's willing to help out others, but tries his best to not extend out a helping hand when it's not needed or he doesn't feel comfortable doing so. Once he does find someone close outside of his own family, he'll be much more personal and open with the things he likes or just general interests. Something he tends to tuck deep down is the fact he's a hopeless romantic and often reads romance novels as a way to qwell these feelings. Though there's still moments of him having fluffy romance daydreams in the middle of class.

Early Life (1-14)

Robin was swapped out with a baby who was very close in age to him, and lived life as if he was always the son of that family never really aware that he was a Changeling. The night of the incident was still a huge scare for the family, but they thought that they where able to stop the Changelings from taking their child. He just lived his own life just like any other kid in Saltmarsh for the most part. Though ever since the Changeling incidents in Saltmarsh, Hawke and Dove were still very protecitve of their own children. Dove especially was very keen on keeping a close eye on both Pheonix and Robin.

Eventually Finch was created with the assistence of a family friend, a Sun Elf by the name of Aspen,Dove and Hawke had wanted another child but were to afraid of having a second attempted kidnaping. At this point in time Pheonix and Robin didn't argue with each other as much as before. But the two of them disagreed when it comes to Finch related conversation. Usually if Finch should play ball with one of them or sit with the other to play dolls.

Though at the age of 14, Robin had started to notice a couple of things. Things that were completley. Odd. First thing he noticed was white patches of skin that just showed up in parts of his body, but usually in spots that he could easily cover up. He didn't think much of it at first, that is till those white spots started to grow white soft fur. His first thought was to try and tell someone about it, but ended up keeping it a secret after asking his uncle about it.

He didn't show him any of the white patches, but rather asked what those patches may infer if they where seen on a humanoid. To which his uncle immedietly responded with "That's the sign that it's a changeling, did you see where they went?!" Grabbing onto Robin's shoulders. "All of them should have been jailed by now, if one escaped who knows what it might be planning."

"N-no I didn't see one! I-I was just curious I swear I didn't see one!" Robin covering it up, he looks startled by the sudden seriousness from his uncle. Seeing Robin so alarmed by his tone, his uncle sighs and drops the conversation. Unknowingly answering two questions rather than the one Robin asked. After this event, Robin decided that the best thing was to never reveal these patches out of fear of what could happen to him if anyone found out.

Eventually Robin ended up locking himself in his room for three weeks, claiming that he was sick and didn't want to leave his room so he doesn't infect someone else. His family was concerned for him and tried to get him to unlock the door, but attempts weren't successful. They would still leave out dinner for him outside his door, which he would use a stick to pull it inside his room. Sometimes one of his family members would talk to him outside his door just so he wasn't entirely by himself.

He wasn't entirely sure what it was and was hoping it would pass over soon. It was also one of the few times he actually prayed to Lathander outside of church. Praying that whatever this was would go away. At some point he didn't even recognize himself in the mirror after he had turned into a white fuzzy moth thing. It took him a while to figure out how to shapeshift back into his Genasi form, but once he did he still couldn't process the fact he just found out he is a Changeling. While he did promise he would tell his family once he left his room, he just claimed it was just a small fever rather than telling the truth.

Pre-Strixhaven (15-21)

Dove had grown much more protective of Robin after the event where he locked himself in his room for three weeks straight. This attention became rather suffocating for him, he wanted more space. Just some space to breathe and process things more. He started to sneak out of his house at night, either to hang out with some friends or to just do whatever he wanted.

It was one of these nights that he had met Annie, A Moon Elf who he knew a little bit from her family working with his own on occasion. The two of them got to properly talk to each other outside of family buisness that night, surprisingly hitting it off. Robin and Annie then would sneak out each night to hang out with each other, which lead to Robin slowly straying away from his old friend group. It was for the better anyways, instead of going out to cause usual delinquent brand trouble, him and Annie would just talk.

The two of them talked about anything really, a book one of them had read recently or just talking about how things are going at home. It was a small escape from the pressure his grandmother was putting him under. The pressure to do well to make it to Strixhaven like his father and mother. With Annie he felt like he could get through all the pressure, that he had someone to talk to. Maybe he could... Tell her about the one secret he's kept from everyone.

After a couple more months with these night time meetings, the two eventually started dating. With Robin confessing his feelings first, with Annie feeling the same way. They did start to show affection outside of the times they'd meet at night, which eventually caught the attention of both their families. Much to their releif, both sides didn't mind it and were actually pretty happy with the two of them dating especially the elder members of each family. They saw it as a great way to unite the two for each other's benifit.

With things starting to go his way, Robin thought that maybe he could reveal his true form to Annie. He promised not to hide things from her the night they started dating. So, Robin told Annie he had something important to tell her and to meet him closer to the swamp rather than their usual spot. So, Annie did show up to the spot in the swamp Robin had asked her to meet at.

"What did you want to tell me? Are you alright? Did something happen?" Annie had a heavy amount of concern in her voice.

He reassures her. "I'm fine Annie, really I am. I just wanted to talk. It's more like showing you something but I still wanted to talk first. Just in case you don't want to see me again after this."

"Oh, Starshine." She places her hand on his cheek. "Whatever you have to tell me it won't stop me from loving you. You can tell me anything, remember?"

Robin takes a deep breath. "Alright, alright. Just... Just don't scream. Please?"

Annie nods her head to give him the ok and before she knew it, her hand was feeling soft fur rather than skin. She pulls her hand away from him, holding her wrist. The comforting gentle glow of his flames were replaced with the piercing shine of his red eyes.

Annie did in fact not scream, though her silence was far worse. She didn't say anything, all she did was back away a couple of steps. He tried to reach out to her, but she moves away from his touch. They didn't say anything to each other it was just silence, the only words uttered where when Annie left. "I'm sorry, I have to go." Her voice was a bit shaky, giving him one last glance before heading home. He didn't try to follow her to try and explain himself, he just let her go. Feeling like there wasn't anything he could do to have her stay.

She didn't talk to him, let alone look at him after that. His parents would ask him what had happened between him and Annie, but Robin would always refuse to answer. Even Pheonix tried to ask. Samething. Finch didn't ask him about it, he wanted to but wanted to wait till Robin felt better about it. The younger brother would try to help get Robin's mind off of it, offering to help him with chores or to get him out of the house.

Two weeks after the event with Annie, Finch would try to get Robin to talk about it. Robin was doing some work with a farmer's bull pen at night which Finch thought it would leave the two enough privacy. He approached Robin, starting the conversation out like any other one they'd usually have in order to soften him up a bit before dropping the question. And when he did, Robin immedietly shot down the question. Finch asked again, Robin shot it down again. The more times Finch would ask, the more and more frustrated Robin grew. Eventually shouting at Finch and dropping his disguise out of his patience being stretched thin. Which the ruckus woke up one of the bulls. It then charged at the two after it was startled awake.

Robin was nicked by the bull's horns, however Finch wasn't so lucky. Finch took the full force of the charge, destroying a good amount of his outershell broken and the mechanism on one of his arms barley in tact. The bull itself ran off into the swamp. Robin immedietly runs over to pick up a barley conscious Finch to take him home, he wasn't too concerned with him being in his true form as he ran home. Expecting no one else to be awake at that hour, he scrambling to pick up as many of the extra parts of Finch to take to Aspen to fix him.

The rustling caught the attention of Pheonix, who was awake in order to work on one of her murals for her Prismari entrance exam. When she saw Changeling for the first time, her response was to immedietly try and set him a blaze. Though her onslaught was halted before it even started after Robin had shapeshifted back into his disguise. Pheonix wasn't all too thrilled the reveal, but prioritized rushing over to repair Finch.

The siblings rushed over to Aspen's workshop, banging on their door once they got there. A tired Aspen opened the door and immedietly let the three of them in the second that they saw Finch. After Robin explained that Finch was rammed by one of the bulls, leaving the part about their arguement out of the conversation, Aspen had immedietly got to work, taking the broken boy into the back. While waiting, Robin and Pheonix talked about the whole Changeling conundrum. She admitted it is quite a lot to have been dropped all of a sudden, but she still cared for him. It wasn't that he was any different, afterall if he was he would have just ran off leaving Finch behind.

This did put Robin at ease a bit, which he then finally came clean to Pheonix about everything. The thing with Annie and how Finch ended up in the situation that he's in now. She tried her best to reassure him that things would be alright, that she'll still be there. Before Robin could respond, Aspen came back out with a repaired Finch. He still had a couple of cracks on him, especially on his face, but Finch was good as new. The siblings thanked Aspen and head off home with Robin carrying Finch back.

Once home Finch wanted to immedietly talk about everything, he wanted to know everything and not be kept in the dark about it. So Robin and Pheonix did, sitting down with him catching him up. Finch's reaction to the news was the best one Robin has had so far, immedietly saying that he'd do anything to keep that secret. That night, the three of them stuck together much more often, with Pheonix in particular keeping a close eye on Annie to make sure she didn't say anything about it.Things were fine after that whole incident, the three of them covering up for each other once their parents asked, saying it was just an accident with the bull and nothing more.

Finch and Robin eventually sent in their applications for Strixhaven, then recived their acceptence letters a month later. At the time of the brothers leaving for Strixhaven, it would have been two years after the incident.

Strixhaven Year One (21-On Going)
