He has enough self-awareness to know that his mistakes doesn't define him and are lessons to learn from, but his perfectionist and low self-esteem can make it difficult for him to change certain behaviors or thoughts. He's painfully awkward and anxious in social settings, not always knowing what to say, but he's very considerate of others and likes to make sure everyone feels included. Dean doesn't think very highly of himself and can get self-concious in what he do or say, so he does appreciates reassurance in his relationships with others.
