Ian was accidentally given The Sight in highschool when he was dating Maya. The ability to see supernatural beings unexpectedly scared him and this fear caused him to turn to violence, hunting down the beings he percieves as dangerous. Maya doesn't know that he turned into a hunter, they broke up not long after she gave him The Sight.
