Phoebe was born into a seemingly normal family until one day she discovered a locket in the attic of her house. It was tucked in a box with many strange words and runes written all over the inside. When she confronted her sister about it, her sister Rebecca revealed to her that she was a graduate of an academy for those with gifted combat skills, and that she inherited the trait from her parents, one of which - her father - disappeared years ago. Why her parents and sister hid this from her, she didn't know. But soon enough she was brought to the very same academy that Rebecca joined. Rebecca had similar powers to Phoebe, but for some reason has never gone into the field of magic and the studies around it.
