Found each other on a Blue Diamond colony, managed to sneak off planet into a Yellow Diamond colony rumored to be safer. Met Idocrase there, and the two hit it off and fused.

Also worth noting, Labra is about the same height as Canon Alexandrite, but is still about twice as massive when you take her back-half into consideration.
