Zui.
Zui met Kizu when they were kids, and they quickly became best friends. Zui's family was going through a very tense moment, and Zui would keep anything related to her family from Kizu, not wanting to think about this when she was around her friend.
Zui one day volunteered alongside to guard a powerful crystal given to their village by their ancestors, something Kizu soon also volunteered to do. Kizu ended up being chosen to guard the crystal, making Zui's family and Zui herself very upset. She stopped speaking to Kizu after this, and soon left the forest she lived in with her family, never to be seen again.
She grew up training to become a knight, earning a few less powerful crystals during her training. As a final mission, she was tasked with tracking down and retrieving one last yet very powerful crystal, only to realize that, in order to retrieve it, she'll have to take it from Kizu, the crystal's guardian.

Zui is a red and white fox with black markings and green eyes, she wears a red and green scarf that was given to her by Kizu.

Shape-Shifting
This crystal allows her to briefly shapeshift into any animal and obtain all of their strenghts and weaknesses.
Protection
Zui can use this crystal to shield physical attacks from hitting her, as long as she knows what to protect herself from. The crystal cannot activate on it's own, leaving her vulnerable to surprise attacks.
Night-Vision
This crystal makes it so Zui can see in the dark without the aid of already existing light, working as a strong flashlight that only she can see.
Zui is in a constant state of trying and failing to look as cold and composed as possible. She's rather emotional about things and can very quickly lose her temper or act on impulse. She thinks she looks serious most of the time but it's rather easy to tell when she has no idea about anything.
Kizu (Friend)
She's not sure how she feels about Kizu. She feels a bit awkward around her because of how long it's been since they last talked, as well as feeling a bit resentful of her, but they're still childhood friends, and Kizu is a very hard person to hate. In sumarry she likes?? her???? I guess????????
