Shaia

Shaia is an old Seyvanic deity who used to watch over the country, protecting it from both natural and man-made threats & disasters as well as ensuring bountiful harvests and minimal illnesses. Rumored to have once been able to take the form of a human, he now only appears as a pitch black tiger with shining stars in his stripes. They had sensed a horrible impending doom and took to a type of hibernation to prepare for it. However, when the day finally came, they turned tail & fled leaving the people to their own forces & efforts. Though the consensus is largely that he abandoned his duties as a god, he is not a fallen god & retains his status. That said, they are still missing & not even other deities know where they are. Some communities in the country still have faith in him and believe with the right welcoming he'd come back, but as centuries pass he still has yet to show any interest or sign of return.
