Doran grew up in the mountain village of Snowreach. Those who hunted local giants were revered as heroes, so he, too, hoped to be one. Around age 19, he was among five others who took a trip down the mountain to trade. Upon return, he found the whole village had been destroyed. For the next few years, he hopped around from mountain village to village, but he was never able to properly protect any from being invaded by possessed giants.
Around age 25, he joined the Regional Assembly after Nissa saved him while on a mission in the mountains. Shortly thereafter, he lost his arm, and felt he could no longer help the Assembly. It took a few years, but thanks to Ilshee's craftsmanship and attention, he has taken up the bow once again.
