Wisp is a creature with no history and no real name.

He arrived one day, beneath the hollow hills, and felt as though he had always existed. From the moment he opened his eyes, he knew a great deal about many things, but he knew the most about love. Well, no...that's not quite right. He knew very little about being in love, or preforming the actions that might be described as 'love'. Rather, he knew a lot about being loved, and he opened his eyes for the very first time with an ache in his heart to love in return.
Who loved him and who he longs to return love to remains as much a mystery as his history and his name. But all these things will find him, in time.

He carries his lantern with him where ever he goes. Rumor says that it houses his soul, a flighty little thing that will escape in the wind should the lantern ever be opened.
