Erland, sometimes nicknamed Lanny. she/her most (he/him from friends), gnc gay man, around late 30s (youngish adult)

poorly adjusted after moving a great distance, not fitting in well with either the urban City of Lights or the rural, scenic Southern Forest. she decided she would take a trip, traveling.... who knows where. she's always been rather withdrawn and polite, and is trying to break out of this shell. working desk jobs can be quite a bore, and it's a surprise that she managed to stay at an office even after her only close friend transferred locations a few years ago. Lanny has begun to lean into the jitters of nervousness at sudden changes in life. she brings nothing more than what fits in one suitcase (ignoring the fact that its capacity is enhanced by magic means), finding place for some small fineries in it all. experiencing being alone with your own excitement and being okay with it is its own fulfillment.

at some point, though, she's realized she has no one to truly go back to. having no end, no deadlines, no one to meet back with eventually becomes a bit draining... wanderlust turns to trudging along, although she does manage to travel out to see her old friend, Meliora, and briefly meet her curious bond

Erland decides to follow Meliora's advice: make your own home, make it for you, and leave yourself open to possibilities.

now she is just trying to find a place to settle down, and the search for bigger and better things has brought her all the way to Serpent's Bluff. unfortunately... she got lost. at least she's found some people to help her get back on the right path. unless they grow too attached and simply let her stay.
