Kind Boy is a pretty anxious guy, but can you blame him? He's got an adrenaline junkie vigilante to look after, no wonder he seems to always be stressed out. He's a wonderful parental figure to Ebony, and is the main reason she's still sane to this day. Acting as a shield during fights and a creature to hug everywhere else, he's the perfect companion to balance out such a deranged woman.
Having died so early in life may have left him with regrets he'll never be able to rectify, and things he wanted to experience that he never will now, but he's gotten over it for the most part. His main priority is caring for his precious host; Eb's practically his daughter at this point. With the sudden reappearance of Ben in their lives, he's preparing himself and Eb for whatever may happen at Ben's hands. He also may or may not be experiencing confusing emotions towards some of Eb's newest companions...
