Leticia is a strong willed and patient woman, who can be strict when it's needed. She's a loving maternal figure to Allison, and though her host turned out to be...rather unlikeable, she still does what she can to mitigate her unpleasantness. The same can be said for Ben. Both of the Matars were fortunate to have Leti in their lives when times got really tough. Though she doesn't approve of the activities the twins get themselves involved in, she does what she can to keep them from sustaining any serious danger while out in the field.

She died young, and while she's more focused on the lives of her "children", she still harbors great resentment over her premature death. That may or may not have involved Kind Boy, which just makes everything all the more complicated when Ben starts pursuing Eb as a target, and she's confronted with him. She has nothing against Eb, but Kind Boy...
