A songbird who cultivated a human form. He takes on the form of his deceased master. Although he is male, Ling'er's human form is effeminate as his master was a famed courtesan who longed for freedom. Currently, this lonely songbird wanders the mortal realm to see the sights that his master could not.
He typically introduces himself as Ling as Ling'er was the term of endearment that his master used. He does not allow others to use it. A certain sticky tiger cub has taken to calling him Ling Ling though.
