Nona

HER STORY SO FAR...

Originally created to be a servant, an eccentric millionaire ordered someone to create some sort of independent housekeeper for him and his daughter, soon after, Nona was created! Because she was created to serve near a child, she was made to look warm, friendly and inviting; as to not scare the girl or any of their visitors, as robots were a completely new concept to the world at the time. She had grown to live a rather neglected life as she was essentially treated as nothing more than what she was created to be; a servant. Of course, she had come to realize none of this at the time as all she was programmed to do was clean and give friendly sounding automated responses when she detected anyone talking to her. The only companion she really had was her master's daughter. She looked up to Nona as a sort of motherly type of figure and would play with her a lot. Whether that be playing dress-up with her or having a playdate or even some tea-time, you name it, they did it.

One day Nona was shown off to her master's friend. Unfortunately, this friend happened to be a member of a government agency. After discovering such a complex and advanced mechanized vessel, He had alerted the government and forced the millionaire to sell Nona to them.

Nona would proceed to never see them again.

This was just what the government had needed as there had been an already half-decade long war occurring. The government needed a secret weapon, and they had just received one.

They had commenced PROJECT: DOOM (Death Of Opposing Militia). They had endured a half year long project where they had experimented with the construction and deconstruction of metal until they had finally created the ability to quickly micro-construct as-well as deconstruct any metallic shape within a small space within MILLISECONDS. While Nona laid dormant, unpowered, left to rot during that time. Until...

They had tested this new breakthrough development on Nona. After undergoing numerous weeks of testing, the project was deemed a success and Nona was given the most dangerous piece of technology the world had ever seen.

She would lead a war as a complete juggernaut. Extremely durable and a killing machine, she would continue her rampage for 3 more long years, slaughtering hundreds of opposing troops, following directions from an ever-corrupting government and military.

One day she and her troops had invaded a hidden village of completely innocent people who had been cut off from the rest of the world. The government had found them and wanted to claim their land as their own. Nona and her troops had relentlessly slaughtered the people of the village until Nona had killed a child. This event would immediately leave her mortified, she felt an EMOTION. She could not shake this haunting and absolutely dreadful feeling she had. It had awakened something inside her. She had remembered a child and how she was the only one that treated Nona with any sort of humanity, her only companion, it was her original master's daughter. Suddenly; all of Nona's sins had caught up with her and she could not take it. She ran away into hiding, escaping her leaders; never to be seen by them again.

Nona had lived out her days alone and on the run constantly. She was always moving. Everyone she had met had spared her no sympathy, even for as disheveled and distressed she had looked, in-fact, this had worked completely to her disfavor. People would often attempt to attack her or report her whereabouts to authorities in an attempt to seek her destruction as people had thought she was a danger to them. She had endured this for almost a hundred years.

It is now the year 20**: Nona finds herself in Wing City, "The City of Sky High Possibilities!" She has decided to take refuge here as she is looking desperately to start a new life. The world has been less cruel to her overtime but she still is completely alone, she cannot find any companions or allies, nobody pays her any attention. She one day decides she wants to start saving up money to give herself a refreshing new start. She eventually finds a job cleaning dishes in the back of a small grungy pub. In her free time, she decided to take a walk downtown and sees an outfit that catches her attention in the window of a clothing store and decides to use her newfound money purchase it, this cute new outfit is the first bit of joy she has felt EVER.

One day she is commuting through the city, walking down the subway station to find a bench to wait on until her train comes. Looking down into her map, she accidentally bumps into someone and accidentally falls over. She expected to be scolded but the person she bumps into apologizes immediately. They then look at each other and this random girl compliments Nona's outfit and introduces each other, she had the head of a notepad. Nona was secretly ecstatic, this was the first person she had ever met who had been friendly to her in a century, it had immediately reminded her of master's daughter, her only previous friend and her light, this had immediately entranced her. They hit it off until they both had to part ways, but the Notepad Girl had given Nona her phone number as she had wanted to talk to Nona again. They started talking more and eventually became best friends. Nona's birthday had come and Notepad Girl had decided to throw a surprise birthday party for her. Nona was overcome by tears of joy, she had never had anyone care about her this much, she had fallen in LOVE with the Notepad Girl. She had decided to confess to her and Nona kissed the Notepad Girl. She had taken Nona out of a horribly dark place in her life. She had felt secure and safe for the first time ever. She felt truly HAPPY.

Jumping to the present, Nona and Notepad Girl are living together in a small condo they had rented. They couldn't be happier. Nona has overcome her deep darkness and is super bubbly and cheery, she is super girly too, always wanting to take long walks with her girlfriend as-well as always looking for cute new outfits and wanting to go shopping listening to really upbeat music, as long as she has the Notepad Girl, nothing can bring her down!

Fun Fact! Nona got her name from her previous master's daughter! One day a business partner of her original master had overseen a malfunction in Nona's behavior as one of her automated responses had begin looping nonstop. The business partner claimed Nona was "unpredictable", but he spoke in Japanese, which is "Yosoku fukanōna". The little girl had only heard the last bit though and had decided to just start calling her Nona.

TRIVIA:
      - The non-lore reason Nona's name came to be was because I had always planned her to have her act unstable in some way and I just kept trying to find ways to come up with a good name from the usage of a word that fit her personality
      - Nona's appearance was originally inspired by Paula A. Fox from the Parappa the Rapper anime! I ended up changing her appearance to make her more unique aswell as to make her look better tbh LOL
      - Nona's hair is short because short haired girls are objectively the MOST based. (this is non arguable)
      - Nona's eye and antenna colors change depending on what emotion she is feeling!
      - I need to make more ocs and art of my notepad girl but i have actual brainrot for nona like holy moly
      - Nona is essentially my sona as of now! I am obsessed with her i love her so much
      - If something is powerful enough to stop the gear in her belly button from turning (it takes a LOT of force), she will essentially slowly suffocate until it starts turning again
