bea is a resident of hometown, working at the library and helping out toriel with school events. they're known pretty well around town, having lived there for a good few years by the time the game begins. they are half monster, which explains their not entirely human qualities to their appearance.

in the dark world, they take the role of a bard, carrying along a harp and a melodica as their main instruments.
