Kaida

Kaida was born the princess of Edross, a kingdom which, at the time, was known for its exceptionally benevolent King and its recent alliance with the Dragon Kingdom of Aragon. Edross and Aragon had once been in war for decades, and even when the war ended, tensions between the two nations remained high. That is, until Kaida's father, while still only a teenager and a newly crowned king, was able to propose a series of treaties that would satisfy both kingdoms. After that, the two kingdoms entered an age of peace and alliance. However, this peace would not last long. About 40 years later, only a year after Kaida was born, a powerful conquerer named Adaranth Krauss showed up and completely conquered the kindom of Edross. The entire royal family was slaughtered, except Kaida who was taken away from the castle by a dragon named Ranainth by request of the King. Ranainth was ordered to take Kaida to an abandoned tower only the king knew about and to wait with her for further instruction.

The two waited in the tower for over a month before Ranainth decided to go against his orders to check on Edross, but when he returned, the King had been defeated and killed. After that, Ranainth took it upon himself to raise Kaida in the safety of the tower and protect her from all harm that may come her way.

When Kaida was 18, Ranainth was killed by a group of knights sent from Edross. Although all the knights were killed as well, she still lost the only parental figure and family she had ever known. The only survivors of the encounter were her and a Prince from Edross named Damien. The Prince begged for his life and eventually made a deal with Kaida that in return for not killing him, he would lead her to his kingdom where she could take her revenge out on his father since he was the one that sent them and Damien didn't even want to be there.

Kaida is brash and aggressive. She loves to fight and she can get a bit of a temper a times, which she usually takes out on the nearest tree. She fights with a giant axe for the most part, but she can manage with a sword if she really needs to.
