Name: Tentatively named Vanta

Age: several hundred years old

Gender: Genderless, femme leaning (They/She) but can be male.

Height/Weight: Varies depending on form.

Species: "Inkbourne" - A shapeshifter made of an ink-like substance created from when a high concentration of energy coalesced into a new being. Also called an ink spirit, ink demon, or shadow fae.

Appearance: Defaults to an anthro-rabbit like form; long ears, small nose, large four-fingered arms, cloven feet and a long tail. Their eyes are a soft grey and glow softly, with no pupil or iris. Their body is dark and has a faint iridescence like oil that shifts and absorbs light. Markings around their eyes and nose change shape and color with their emotions but default to an orange-purple gradient. The inside of their mouth also displays the same colors as these markings.

They can take a more humanoid form, as well as other various types, but generally retain the same features; long ears and tail, four fingers and two toes, no pupils.

Their “fur” is soft and has an almost-damp texture to it, with slight give to it. Almost like touching firm ballistics gel.

Personality: soft-tempered, curious about the world and others, a bit naïve, fickle, and sometimes timid. Can be mischievous at times.

Other: They eat energy, be it natural or magical, as well as emotional energy put off by other beings. They CAN eat basically anything, but if doesn’t contain an abundance of some type of energy, it is converted into matter in their form, rather than being used as their lifeforce. When injured or weak, they loose control over their form and will start to “drip”, becoming very unstable.

When hurt, they “bleed” a pure black substance that will evaporate/vanish over time. Destroying their form will not kill them but will release the energy that makes them up. They will need to find a new source to pull material from, be it actual ink or an abundance of shadows, or some magical substance.

They do not default to having a tongue but CAN shapeshift one, as well as various other body parts, including genitalia.
