Phil spent much of his younger years fighting for his life every week in a monster fighting ring. After his village was attacked and many of his family seperated and taken prisoner, he had no choice but to do what he had to, even as he began to hate who he became. However, when Phoebe happens to be watching one of the fights he is in, she steps in, buying him and removing him from the life he had come to hate.
Now that he has a chance at a new life, he devotes himself to being as useful as possible, learning all he can to take over from the previous medic after an accident left them without one. Unfortunatly, he quickly realises its not the fresh start he had hoped for, and in many ways is the exact same as his life in the ring. He is constantly looking over his shoulder, wondering who he can really trust, and whos out to for his blood.

Phil has the ability to turn his feathers to metal at will and use them as throwing knives. He can also turn every feather on his wing to metal and use it as a sheild, however the cost is, he will no longer be able to take flight until they change back to normal.
He can only use as many feathers as his wings have. Overusing his powers will take away his ability to fly until his feathers natural grow back in again.

- He has many bird instincts, like showering in the rain, or dancing to attract a mate.
Although how unpredictable Phoebe is often scares him, she saved him from a life he hated and owes her for that. He looks out for her and does his best to protect her in battle.
He feels something is incredibly off with her. Nothing about her feels real, and he doesn trust her at all. However since he has found himself stuck in her organisation, he does his best to avoid making an enemy of her.
From the moment he met Oona he was filled with the desire to protect her. He does his best to make her life easier and keep her out of harms way as much as possible.
The two met while their two gangs were fighting eachother. He noticed she had been wounded and tried to help her by dropping medical nearby. He always wondered if she recovered and occasionally thinks about her.
