Rev was once a drug addict and bassist for "Necrophagia". He hit rock bottom in his early 20s, ending up homeless. On the streets, he met Tsuna, a older man who became a father figure to him. When Tsuna died by the hand of a cyberpsycho, Rev swore to enact vengeance on all cyberpsychos.
He reinvented himself as a ruthless mercenary and hunted down Tsuna's killer. Rev lost both his hands in the fight, and replaced them with the cyberpsycho's. Unbeknownst to him, the cybernetics were created by a clandestine yakuza clan, and years later, he would be forced to obey them to keep his prosthetics.
