Malakai, or Kai for short, is an optimistic and chaotic vampire who's currently attending college. They're still indecisive what they're going for in the long run, he's kind of just taking all the time possible to figure it out. He finds most of the classes they're in enjoyable, regardless. Malakai is well known around campus for their high energy, and shenanigans. Despite his mischievous nature, they still maintain a positive reputation. Though, his neighbors definitely don't appreciate him occasionally blaring Babymetal at night. It's not uncommon for them to tell trivial lies, such as his claim that his height is 5'9", whilst actually being 5'7".

Despite being a vampire, they don't have the ability to burn in the sun. When Malakai was younger he was very sheltered in fear of them getting out and being burnt. When he was allowed to enter a private grade school, he was shoved out during the daytime by a bully. To everyone -including Malakai's- shock, he didn't burn. They were brought in for studies, though the doctor's couldn't find a cause for this phenomenon. It allowed the young man to start attending public schools, something Malakai has always been thankful for. He maintains a healthy relationship with their family, to this day.
