The rumours are true—Grigoriy Garinovich had mercilessly slaughtered the entire Volkov clan, but he wouldn't say why. Now the sole wielder of the Volkovan heirloom—Garin's rapier, his father's weapon—the prince has set out to wander... but nobody really knows his true intentions. Had he the greatest hatred towards the clan, blaming them for his father's orchetrated death? Was he simply defending himself, as the Volkov family conspired to kill him just as they did his father? Nobody knows—but one takes care to tread upon his path carefully, for fear of facing the same fate of the rest of the clan.

Trivia:
- His short, diminutive and affectionate diminutive are "Grisha" (or "Grish"), "Grishka", and "Grishenka" respectively, though nobody really calls him the latter two anymore
- His patronymic name comes from his father, Garin. Garin was adopted, and "Garin" was the only name he was identified with, despite it usually being a surname
- Stands the cold well—perhaps a little too well. He can stay out in negative degrees with minimal clothing and provisions
- It's theorised that Garin was killed due to him inheriting the rapier, despite not being a "true" Volkov. It doesn't matter now, anyway...
